Re: 6/31st Roster Status

I will be mailing letters out on Monday to 13 men who, to the best of my knowledge, have never been contacted. After that, we will just wait to see if we get any responses. We might find: (1) Wrong address, (2) Person we are searching for has passed away, (3) Correct person who wants to be added to ...

More lost 6/31st men - 2nd Group

Below you will find 21 more men who were located via obituary searches. I am only about 80% confident in this information. All of the name, age and locations align to what we were provided via our paid searches; however, very few of the obituaries mention military service. This will conclude my obit...

Some of you men might have noticed on Facebook where Ray Heltzel had asked me about 2 men, and using Google I had found that they had passed.....so that got me to thinking...so....with nothing else to do while in Vietnam visiting my wife's family, I did obituary searches for all 747 men on our roste...

Re: The Biden VS Trump question

With nothing to do every day....I use the app on my iPhone to read news from about 20 different news groups. The only one that stands alone from all the rest is Fox....all the rest tend to agree with each other. Even the “real” Fox news guys usually agree with the other news groups. The Fox “enterta...

Re: The Biden VS Trump question

Looks like it will be either Warren or Harris. Warren would be attractive for the Progressives and Harris would be attractive for the Minorities. Apparently some of the black community is actually supporting Warren over Harris...not sure why? Both look good when speaking and both would kick Pence’s ...

Re: The Biden VS Trump question

They both show signs of early dementia. At least Biden knows what the 19 on COVID-19 stands for and that Colorado is not on the Mexico border. Biden has certainly made some gaffes but not even close to the number that Trump has made. In addition, I believe that the Washington Post now has Trump up t...

Re: The Biden VS Trump question

I also wish that the Democrats had a better candidate than Biden. But anyone would be better than Trump. I would vote for a week old tuna fish sandwich over Trump. I find Trump to be a totally despicable person and an even worse President, who is doing his best to tear this country apart. His claimi...

Re: Looking for anyone who remembers John Tucker

Unless something else surfaces, it appears that we have run out of sources of information regarding men who might have served with RTO John Tucker in Vietnam during 68/69. From John’s records it appears that for AIT he trained with Alpha Company at Fort Lewis as an 11B in Nov 67 and shipped to Vietn...

Arthur (Art) Decker - Echo Company

My apologies for somehow failing to add this Memorial when Art passed away in 2016. Arthur (Art) Decker served with Echo Company in 1968/69. He passed away on October 9, 2016 in Toms Brook, VA. Art was one of the Echo Company Ft Lewis "originals" who were shipped to Vietnam from Ft Lewis a...

Re: Bladder Cancer

My Thoughts on Bladder Cancer: My undergraduate degree, received prior to going to Vietnam, was in Psychology with a strong minor in Biology. My study of biology has led me to many questions as to the impact that Agent Orange might have upon our bodies. I understand that the liver and the kidneys ar...

Re: Bladder Cancer

It is so difficult for me to understand why the bladder would not be considered the primary place to look for Agent Orange caused cancer. The reason being that when we grunts ran out of water, we took water from the large jugs that the Vietnamese people caught rain water in. The rain water ran off o...

Bladder Cancer

Hello My 6/31st Brothers, One of our 6/31st Brothers, Lt Sam Martin, Delta Company, 1969, has been battling bladder cancer for some time now, and as you probably know, the VA has yet to agree that bladder cancer could have been caused by Agent Orange. They have denied all cases that have been appeal...

Virus

Vietnam is, of course, on the China border, and is doing a much better job on controlling the virus than is the US. They quickly closed their border with China, and schools have been closed for over a month. I checked the other day and at that point they had only 35 cases and no deaths, and 1/2 of t...

Re: Old Joe Biden looks to be on his way

For those thinking that we need our huge military budget in order to be competitive with other countries in the world....not true. I Googled something a long the lines of “Military Armaments by country”, and found us far ahead on all critical military equipment with the exception of nukes where Russ...

Re: Old Joe Biden looks to be on his way

I just wish that some candidate had enough guts to find a way to cover the 30 million Americans who have no healthcare. It would not require Medicare for all. Almost all of the countries having Universal Healthcare do it with a combination of Private Insurance and a government funded option. 50 year...
