Saigon Road Trip
Taking Hwy 1 from Ben Luc to Saigon (Ben Hoa) was not an everyday thing. As a matter of fact, it only happened once during my tour. Here are a few pic - comment if you wish.

Re: Saigon Road Trip
What do you know about that? I got a picture of the same Saigon racetrack. It must have been for horses.
I went through Saigon on road trips from Ben Luc at least once. Maybe I was in the same convoy as when you took the picture. Were you with Alpha or in HQ then?
I went to the hospital to the PX once also. That was kind of strange. I remember a lounge that looked like it could have been corner bar back in the states. I'll have to add some of my pictures to your string or start another so they down load faster.

Re: Saigon Road Trip
That pic of the racetrack must have been a popular attraction - as it most likely brought a since of normalcy to the landscape.
This particular road trip I was with HQ working supply. I don't remember ever going through Saigon when I was a line troop with A-Co.
I visited a few guys I knew in the 3d Field Hospital in Saigon on this trip - remember how the Hospital looked...
