Trapping Hogs

Here is a hog that I recently trapped in a circular hog pen/trap. He got out two times by climbing over a 6' wire fence made of hog panels with hog wire on the top. He got out once by chewing thru the hog wire. Hog panels on top of hog panels finally caught him.

Awesome pic, Delta75. That was one resilient hog, by what you described. How much did he weight, do you remember?

He weighed right at 200 lbs...I had estimated that he would have weighed much more (at least 250)...these Texas Hill Country hogs are long and lean. The tales of all those 300 lbs hogs are mostly just that...."tales". Most were estimates and were never weighed. Yes...there are a few 300 lbs hogs...but not as many as one might expect from all the stories.
